drop down design is a small interactive design studio founded and run by Cameron Ley out of a downtown Toronto work / live space. It runs with a simple philosophy that online experiences should do niche things elegantly. simple enjoyable experiences are what we strive for in all our projects, big and small.
we pride ourselves on having relationships with people, not companies. Lets have a conversation about your project and how we can work together to make it happen.
we specialize in user experience, interactive design, and front end development. if you are looking for something specific, let us know.
after studying qualitative research methods in his undergrad, cameron went to the university of western ontario where he attended the library and information science program in the faculty of information and media studies. while attending school he was exposed to the subtleties of information architecture, the various theories of information behaviour, as well as the importance and meaning behind semantic data in a world that increasingly struggles with the volume of data it must manage.
shortly after graduating in 2006, cameron was employed at critical mass, a digital agency in downtown toronto. while there, he was relied upon to architect large financial systems and design interfaces that made it easy for customers to interact and manipulate very dense information resources.
now, he owns and operates drop down design, and helps agencies and organizations in toronto with their interaction design, front end development, and design of their digital strategy. drop down design's clients in the past have included telus, the globe and mail, and city news.
